CME on Polytrauma

Organised by: Department of Orthopaedics, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences under the aegis of Karnataka Orthopaedic Association & Canara Orthopaedic Society

The Department of Orthopaedics at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences successfully conducted a CME on “Polytrauma” focusing on a multidisciplinary approach to trauma care. The academic sessions covered hemorrhagic shock, neurosurgical and cardiothoracic emergencies, abdominal and pelvic injuries, and Damage Control Orthopaedics.

The CME also included a panel discussion with valuable clinical insights and hands-on workshops on airway management, E-FAST, damage control resuscitation, and external fixation techniques. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from consultants and postgraduate trainees, making it a successful academic initiative.
